Brookfield STSS Sportsman Event Postponed; Monday Rain Date TBD

BROOKFIELD, NY – A continuing wet weather pattern and a thoroughly soaked Madison County Fairgrounds has led Brookfield Speedway management and the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco to postpone Sunday night’s ‘Fast Cars & Freedom’ event.

The program was scheduled to kick off the Madsen Overhead Doors Inc. North Region of the STSS Sportsman series.

A rain date of Monday, May 26 is in place for the event.

Speedway and series management will evaluate the condition of the facility on Sunday before announcing a status for Monday.

“The rain has been steady and significant all week,” STSS organizer Brett Deyo said. “Speaking with Josh Walker (Fair Board president), the facility and new clay surface are saturated.”

Scheduled to join the STSS Sportsman for the ‘Fast Cars & Freedom’ are Hustle the Highway Series 600 Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Four Cylinders, Allstar and Junior Slingshots and a 50-lap Enduro.
