New Egypt Speedway ‘Dirty Jersey’ Postponed by Predicted Rain & Thunderstorms

NEW EGYPT, NJ – Predicted rain and thunderstorms for Tuesday afternoon and evening have led management of the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco and New Egypt Speedway to postpone the ‘Dirty Jersey’ event.

The announcement was made Tuesday morning to save travel for fans and race teams.

The event will now take place on Thursday, August 21.

“The forecast is calling for a significant chance of rain at race time,” STSS director Brett Deyo said. “After speaking with New Egypt Speedway management, we felt the best decision for all was to postpone this event.”

The series moves to Outlaw Speedway in Dundee, N.Y., on Thursday (July 10) for the Dave Machuga Memorial ‘Outlaw Showdown’ paying $7,078.78 to the winner, $1,000 for 10th and $500 to start in Round No. 3 of the HYTORC of New York North Region for the Modifieds.
