Make It Mirabito: 2026 Fonda 200 Weekend Presented By Mirabito Energy Products

FONDA, NY – A trusted family company with roots back to 1927 and a revered event originated in 1955 have joined forces.

The iconic Fonda 200 – first contested 71 years ago at Fonda Speedway – has a title sponsor for 2026: Mirabito Energy Products.

The Fonda 200 presented by Mirabito Energy Products takes place during the 75th anniversary season at the Track of Champions Thurs.-Sat. Sept. 17-19, 2026, a three-day racing festival headlined by a 100-mile grind for the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco Modifieds.

A Norwich, N.Y., coal business that started during the Calvin Coolidge administration by James Mirabito helping his neighbors stay warm through icy New York winters, Mirabito Energy Products has grown to become the most trusted energy, HVAC and all-around home comfort provider in the Northeast. It’s a story that involves a family and dedicated team of hardworking individuals across multiple generations.

In New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Vermont, Mirabito Energy Products is singularly committed to honoring the legacy of the family-owned and -operated institution by focusing on core values of integrity, reliability, safety and community service.

The Mirabito Energy Products staff, resources and services have grown in the many decades since the company’s inception, providing customers with a range of energy solutions – including propane, Bioheat® fuel, diesel products, premium gasoline, natural gas and electricity – and HVAC services.

Moonshiner-turned-racer Junior Johnson was the first to etch his name in the Fonda 200 history books in 1955. With that, an auto racing tradition was born.

No driver enjoyed more success in the Fonda 200 than Brett Hearn, who won the event on four occasions: 1995, 1997, 1998 and 2002.

Matt Sheppard, Stewart Friesen and the late Doug Hoffman each own three Fonda 200 victories. Hoffman’s conquests came in 1990, 1991 and 2001, with Friesen winning in 2019, 2021 and 2023 and Sheppard in 2022, 2024 and 2025.

Five drivers have two Fonda 200 checkered flags on their resume: Bob McCreadie (1992 and 1993), Charlie Rudolph (1983 and 1985), Jack Johnson (1986 and 1988), Jimmy Horton (1984 and 1994) and Richard Petty (1967 and 1968).

Single-time Fonda 200 winners include Junior Johnson (1955), Steve Danish (1963), Bill Wimble (1964), David Pearson (1966), Lou Lazzaro (1969), Harry Peek (1970), Kenny Brightbill (1987), Mike Romano (1989), Steve Paine (1999) and Kenny Tremont (2000).

A complete ’26 Fonda 200 schedule of events will be released in the coming weeks.
